Welcome to 2nd Fellowship Course in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery (FALS-CRS)

Dear Colleague,

It is a privilege to invite you to the 2nd Fellowship Course in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS) in Colo Rectal Surgery from October 13 to 15, 2017 at New Delhi organised by the Institute of Minimal Access, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi under the aegis of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES).

Colo-rectal-anal surgery occupies a significant proportion of most general, minimal access, gastro-intestinal and oncological surgical practices these days. The role of minimal access approaches in colo rectal surgery have grown rapidly in recent years with the application of numerous minimal access modalities such as endoscopy, advanced laparoscopy, robotic surgery and trans anal minimal invasive surgery (TAMIS). This advance has often changed the algorithmic and technical paradigm of therapy in many clinical scenarios and this shift needs to be appreciated in a definite and instructional manner.

The 2nd Fellowship Course in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS) in Colo Rectal Surgery is an instructional master class to educate and train practicing general, gastro-intestinal and oncological surgeons in the art and science of minimal access colo rectal surgery. The course contains a didactic section for the first two days and a live operative session on the third day. Key national and international faculty with specialised interest and experience in this field will help make this course extremely meaningful for those intending to learn.

We welcome you to this instructional academic fiesta and the happening global city of Delhi!
